The new generation of SieMatic’s S2 kitchen builds on the handle-free 6006 from 1960 and the SL in the late 1980s. The new S2 generation aims to further integrate the kitchen into the living space.
The S2 features a recessed grip channel, mitred panels at the corners, as well as veneered and lacquered fronts. A ‘Secret Service’ drawer with a Push2open mechanism is concealed within the 3.5 cm recess channel, providing storage for flat items such as cutlery and smartphones / tablets.
Additional features include a translational rotation mechanism that allows a closed cabinet to smoothly transform into a contrasting veneered open-shelf unit, and a sliding SieMatic SteinDesign countertop that conceals a hob and sink with a lowered tap. The sliding countertop can be utilised as a seating area or an extended work surface. SieMatic
