Made of Air turns biowaste into carbon negative building materials
Made of Air transforms wood waste to into carbon-negative compounds and panels to replace materials such as fossil-based plastics and aluminium. These materials lock in more carbon in their production than they release. Made of Air uses waste sawdust or woodchips, which would usually release the CO2 sequestered by the trees back into the environment, to produce biochar. Biochar is a pyrolyzed biomass with a high carbon content traditionally used as a soil fertilizer.

Aluminium Pure finish by FSB
Ironmongery manufacturer FSB has introduced the Aluminium Pure finish for a selection of its fittings. This finish eliminates the final stages of aluminium processing: polishing and anodising or powder coating. Instead, ceramic pellets produce a distinctive finish and texture during the process of slide grinding. The aluminium finish is pleasant to touch due to its ability to adapt to ambient temperatures, and without an anodised finish, the surface gains a patina over time.
