Petersen Tegl Kolumba™ is a range of handmade, horizontal bricks developed in 2000 in a collaboration between Peter Zumthor and Petersen Tegl for the Kolumba Museum in Cologne, Germany. Kolumba™ bricks are traditionally manufactured whereby once the clay has been processed, the bricks are handmade in wooden moulds after which they are dried and fired. Varying temperatures in the firing process give the bricks a variety of textures and shades. Peterson
